About Mumbai - the Host City
Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) is the commercial capital of India. Situated on the West Coast on India, it is by far by the most sought after business destination in this part of the world. It is also one of the safest cities in India to travel. Though Hindi is the national language and Marathi the local language, it is a cosmopolitan city, with English commonly understood by most. Connectivity to other parts of the world and the country by all modes of transport are readily available. It has excellent intra-city connectivity by rail, road and buses.
